The Walker family has deep roots in Montgomery County, having resided here since 1876. The Walkers continue to live on the land purchased by Robert's grandfather. In 1993, Robert and Janet established Walker Feed and Farm, a thriving business that caters to the local residents.

Robert was re-elected in 2024 without facing any opponents, underscoring the trust and support he enjoys from the community.
